i was underwhelmed by the experience. the staff was outstanding, but the XLB was definitely a big step down from din tai fung and paradise dynasty. the pleats on the XLB were so sloppy and it looks like they were just lazily tossed into the steamer basket without any care. nothing like what i saw in all the IG stories. the wrappers also didn’t have that magical texture like DTF. hopefully they can tighten up their operations. i still have hope HI can get a legit XLB joint!

Holy crap this spots better than DTF. 11/10. Best dumplings I’ve had in hawaii. Beef roll 9.5/10 Insanely thin wrapper, super delicate, great umami and tons of soup. If I had a critique it would be to do the truffle flavor with pork not chicken. Jerica was awesome and super accommodating for our baby.

All of the staff were welcoming and friendly, but most importantly, everything we ordered was delicious! We ordered the shrimp & pork xiao long bao, mini pan-fried dumplings (crispy on one side and soft and chewy on the other), spicy cucumber, shrimp fried rice, and the brown sugar mochi rice cake. Every dish was excellent. Our server, Alice, was attentive, friendly, and provided great service throughout our meal.

Finding parking can easily become the most stressful part of the experience. We made our reservation on the first day it became available on Yelp and secured a 1:45 PM Saturday seating. Angelina is a sweet and patient server. I’m Asian and had XLB many times, but wanted to know which one was colorful. Anyways, I asked a lot of questions and glad she was our server. I believe the service will make or break this place. Also, whether the restaurant will have draft LOCAL beer. Highly recommend considering pairing draft local beer. We have great local IPA that would be great with Szechuan peppers. Also it’s respect to support local.

Visited Supreme Dumpling recently and had a decent experience overall. The food was good, though some dishes stood out more than others. While the pricing is on the higher side, the overall dining experience was still enjoyable. The service was definitely a highlight. The Alice was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcomed throughout the meal. They checked in regularly and provided great service. Overall, a pleasant experience with excellent service. Snagged a reservation for me and a friend & it was worth the wait! Reservations seem to be only available a week in advance right now, and I can see why. The restaurant is beautiful inside and very aesthetically pleasing. They don't have an alcoholic drink menu yet so I walked up to the bar to see what they had. They only have a couple wines available, hard liquor coming soon. The food came out pretty fast and I loved the Waygu long bao! The Shanghai wontons sauce were delicious although the inside was a bit rough with the shrimp. The onyx custard bun was absolutely delicious, next time will be adding the chocolate to eat together. Definitely will be back visiting this place

Finding parking can easily become the most stressful part of the experience. We made our reservation on the first day it became available on Yelp and secured a 1:45 PM Saturday seating. Went into the restaurant not expecting much however, I left very satisfied. Our server, Jerica, was very kind and welcoming and helped making the dining experience all the more better. The interior and ambiance of the restaurant was very nice and comfortable. The food was delicious, we tried both the entrees and the deserts and both were good. As a local, I'm honestly not a fan about a lot of the eateries that have been opening. So, when I heard we were having a dumpling restaurant I was excited! Din tai fung is a family favorite of ours in Disneyland so we were definitely happy to have something similar! We made a reservation and were seated in about 5 mins. Our server was very polite and gave us recommendations on what to try. We tried a lot so I can't name them all but we enjoyed every dish. We will definitely be returning customers here :)
